This sounds unusual, but there are certain conditions under which the extension will not be present. (Normally I think it is when the extension has been manually removed...but I don't remember that detail.)

If you have Pluckeye installed but don't see the extension in Chrome, you can pick it up at the Chrome Extensions website.

If you continue to have problems, include your operating system and Pluckeye version in your reply.

We'll have to wait for Jon to chime in on whether Pluckeye is causing an Internet slowdown for you.

Pluckeye doesn't ordinarily slow down the Internet much.

Is the CPU busy (meaning, task manager shows CPU utilization at near 100% continuously)?  If so, that's a tab might be open to a web page that behaves poorly if some of its resources (such as images) are blocked.  I haven't seen such CPU spinning myself for quite awhile.

I can't really diagnose this remotely.  You can try closing programs, closing all but one tab, and the like that to see if behavior changes.

If you can narrow it down to something repeatable, such a specific web page, feel free to let me know.
