Update: version 96.2 stopped working for me.  I lost internet connection and in the pluckeye window all of the fillable fields went blank with no ability to change.  Reinstalling didn't work. I had an older version of pluckeye (95.1) in my download folder.  Since I installed it, 95.1 is working perfectly.  Should I send in the sysinspect?

Good morning!

Windows 10
Firefox 69.0.1
Pluckeye 96.2

Pluckeye is working, sort of. It is still blocking images appropriately, but I'm unable to make any changes. I cannot allow sites. Also, the delay is stuck at 0.  When I attempt to change it to 5 seconds, the response is "delay changed to 5 seconds" but the dropdown window still reads "0".  Also, I am unable to update to a newer version of pluckeye - I lose all internet access when I do.  Unable to uninstall. When I attempt in "add/remove programs" I receive the popup to change the delay to "0". When I try unbork in cmd line, I receive the following:  00a3:105: e9adcb09 BUG 1 vs 0

Is there an easy way to temporarily access (for one use or 5 minutes) a website that i have blacklisted , and then have it revert back to its prior "blacklisted" state?

The firefox add-on seems to be gone. I am having trouble installing pluckeye with FF and I think the missing add-on might be the problem.  Anyone else installed withing the last 2 days using FF and windows 10?

Thank you.  I was able to successfully add the recipe.  However, it does not appear to be blocking the ppsx files.  I am still able to download the presentation linked in post #9 above as an example. Any ideas?

Just curious if anyone has encountered the error above and how to correct.  I'm still unable to block .ppsx file download. Thanks!

Thank you for the recipe.  I followed instructions and this was the response:

C:\Program Files\Pluckeye\bin>pluck.exe import "%HOMEPATH%\Desktop\no-documents.txt"
c:\cygwin64\home\jon\pluckeye\exes\common/pluckui.c:1496 Can not parse 'application/msword'

Did as suggested:

C:\Program Files\Pluckeye\bin>pluck mety foo.ppsx
foo.ppsx -> application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.presentationml.slideshow

C:\Program Files\Pluckeye\bin>pluck add "block application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.presentationml.slideshow"

C:\Program Files\Pluckeye\bin>

Still unsuccessful in blocking .ppsx files.  Here is an example of a file that will download:

One follow up question -- how do I block .ppsx files? The above methods block .pps files, but not .ppsx files. Thanks.

Did as you suggested.

C:\Program Files\Pluckeye\bin>"pluck.exe" import %HOMEPATH%\Desktop\zzz.txt

C:\Program Files\Pluckeye\bin>"pluck.exe" export | findstr zzz

C:\Program Files\Pluckeye\bin>

What should I expect?

Same. Also, I can see the allows in notepad in the desktop file so I know they're there.

I'm not so worried about the allows - I can create them again as I browse.  But my main issue is google docs and google sheets. I'm not sure if I created a rule to allow them on my other computer.  The only allow I see on my desktop version (the one that's working) is docs.google.com.

Windows 10
Firefox 54.0.1
Pluckeye 56.1

Purchased a new laptop, was able to get pluckeye loaded and running great. Then I exported the pluckeye settings/rules from my desktop (same version of pluckeye, same version of firefox).  Now, I am unable to access google docs or google sheets on the new machine - I am able to log in to my account and I see the names of each of the docs, but the image boxes associated with the docs are empty and I can't open them.

Not sure if this is related, but I was able to confirm that the blocked sites from the imported settings are being blocked on the new machine, but the allowed sites are not being allowed (no images on those sites) on the new machine.

1. System: Windows 10
2. Pluckeye version: 0.57.6
3. Browsers: firefox

I just installed pluckeye on my new pc. When I attempt to change the installation level to 2, I receive this message: Failed to set the installation level because pluckui set "level 2" failed with status: -3299.

Other notes - when I first installed, there was no icon in firefox until I enabled the addon.  Also, there is a "legacy" yellow icon on the plucki addon.  I tried uninstalling firefox and pluckeye and reinstalling both, but the legacy icon is still there.  It doesn't appear on my other computer.

Thanks for your help!  - Bill Delaney

Firefox: 54.0.1

Yes, it flashed orange and I just updated to 0.56.1.  I restarted firefox and images are still viewable.

Today I noticed this new problem. Images are being blocked on other sites as usual.  Nothing has changed in my pluckeye settings.

I fixed the problem with google images appearing - I clicked "revert" on google.com and the images no longer appear. Perhaps I inadvertently made a rule allowing google images?

Thanks for sending this. I entered the command and confirmed it was successfully added, however I'm not sure it is working.  Here is an example site that I was able to download from:

Awesome! That worked with the exception of pptx files.  What will block those? Thanks!

Maybe its wishful thinking, but I'm wondering if there is a way to block certain parts of amazon.com and allow others (ie: allow images in Toys & Games and office supplies, but not women's apparel).  This product has been amazing so far, if it can pull this off I will be even more amazed!

$ pluck add "Deny application/pdf" works great blocking pdf downloads, but $ pluck add "Deny application/ppt" does not block download of power point files.  Same issue when replacing with "doc".
